The Role


As a Senior GCP Cloud Infra Engineer, you will play a key part in shaping Google Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering capabilities. You will help deliver secure, compliant, and efficient cloud services that enable smooth GCP adoption across the enterprise.

You’ll operate as part of a cross-disciplinary feature team while also contributing as a highly experienced member of the wider cloud engineering community.


This role involves providing modern DevOps tooling, building scalable cloud products using Infrastructure-as-Code, and supporting engineering teams in delivering secure, reliable, enterprise-grade GCP environments.


Key Responsibilities


  • Hands-on GCP Cloud Engineering with strong DevOps and CI/CD expertise
  • Deep experience with IaC and Terraform/Terraform Cloud
  • Designing and curating reusable GCP Cloud Products and Infrastructure
  • Building automated workflows using Python scripting
  • Strong knowledge of GKE, containers, Istio Service Mesh, and cluster management
  • Auditing and restructuring Terraform modules and state files
  • Migrating legacy configurations into unified, reusable templates
  • Implementing secure Terraform modules with embedded guardrails and policy-as-code (Sentinel, OPA)
  • Enforcing GCP Organisation Policies (IAM, network constraints, encryption, region policies, IP restrictions)
  • CI/CD integration and automation pipeline development for IaC deployments


Your Profile


Essential Skills & Experience:


  • GCP Cloud Engineering, DevOps & Infrastructure
  • Terraform / Terraform Cloud (IaC)
  • Python scripting
  • Experience with Harness, Jenkins, GitHub
  • GKE, Containers, Istio Service Mesh
  • GCP Org Policy & Policy-as-Code (Sentinel / OPA)
  • GCP and Terraform certifications
  • Experience working within an IDE platform for cloud engineering (e.g., Backstage)


Desirable:


  • Experience as a GCP Cloud SME
  • Experience providing technical consulting on design, architecture, or cloud strategy
