Location - Fully remote or Hybrid

At Animal Friends, we don’t just offer insurance; we offer peace of mind to pet owners across the country. We’re a team that values hard work, loves to have fun and is constantly striving to be the best in our field.

We’re looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about quality and ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced, Agile environment. If you love solving puzzles, building sleek automation frameworks and working with a team that truly has your back, you’ll fit right in.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • Modern Ways of Working: We lean into the latest tech. You’ll be building and evolving frameworks using Playwright/Cypress and TypeScript, working within a mature CI/CD ecosystem in Azure DevOps.
  • A Collaborative Culture: You won’t be siloed. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Devs, BAs, and Product Owners to shape the "Definition of Done" and champion quality across the entire squad.
  • Meaningful Impact: Your work directly ensures our customers (and their furry friends) have a seamless experience. You’ll have the autonomy to decide where automation shines and where manual exploratory testing adds the most value.
  • Balance Matters: We work hard because we care, but we also know that you perform your best when you have a great work-life balance.

What You’ll Bring To The Pack

We’re looking for someone proactive and technically sharp who enjoys mentoring others. Ideally, you have:

  • Automation Expertise: Proven experience building or maintaining automation frameworks from scratch (Playwright or Cypress preferred).
  • API Prowess: Solid skills in API testing (Axios, Postman, or similar).
  • The "Quality" Mindset: You understand the testing pyramid and apply clean-code principles (SOLID/DRY) to your test suites.
  • Agile Fluency: You’re comfortable in fast-moving sprints and know how to translate technical risks into clear communication for the wider team.
  • Bonus Points: If you’ve dabbled in performance testing with K6, worked in Cloud environments (Azure) or have experience in Fintech/Insurtech, we want to hear about it!
