Description

iOS Developer – Health & Wellbeing Tech Startup

Remote (UK) | Up to £100k + Bonus & Benefits

We’re exclusively partnered with an ambitious health and wellbeing startup that’s building a next-generation wellness platform from the ground up. This is not a re-skin or incremental update, it’s a brand-new product with a genuinely differentiated approach, designed to challenge how health tech is built and experienced.

Backed by a proven tech incubator (with products used by 6M+ users globally), this business combines startup pace with real financial stability. You’ll be joining early, shaping a flagship iOS application, and having meaningful ownership over both the product and the technical direction.

The Opportunity

  • Build and own a native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI
  • Work on a product where AI and ML are core to the architecture from day one
  • Create privacy-first, on-device features, no data harvesting, no compromises
  • Collaborate with a small, highly experienced product and engineering team
  • Influence architecture, technical standards, and user experience from the outset

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining a high-quality iOS application
  • Integrating with Kotlin Multiplatform modules for shared business logic and data
  • Implementing on-device machine learning for personalised user experiences
  • Building integrations with Apple HealthKit and wearable data
  • Partnering closely with design to deliver intuitive, accessible, polished UI
  • Optimising for performance, battery efficiency, and offline-first usage
  • Supporting App Store submissions and release management

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience with Swift and SwiftUI
  • Solid understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
  • Experience with HealthKit and/or on-device ML is highly desirable
  • A strong focus on code quality, UX, and performance
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage environment with high ownership
  • Industry experience strongly preferred

Why Join?

  • Build a product designed to genuinely improve people’s health and wellbeing
  • Early-stage team (currently ~3 people) with plans to grow to 14–15 within 6 months
  • Backed by a successful tech incubator with a strong track record
  • High-trust, low-ego culture where impact matters more than titles
  • Remote-first role, with optional face time at offices on the South Coast

Package

  • Salary up to £100k, depending on experience
  • 10% performance-based bonus
  • 29 days holiday (inclusive)
  • 5% matched pension
  • Private healthcare
  • Paid subscriptions
  • Gym membership
  • Monthly retail & entertainment vouchers

If you’re an iOS engineer who wants real ownership, technical influence, and the chance to build something meaningful from the very beginning, this is well worth a conversation.
