Role Specific Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for generative AI applications, optimizing data storage, retrieval, and processing for peak performance.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines tailored to AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft CoPilot Studio), enabling rapid and reliable deployment of backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend solutions with frontend components and streamline development and deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of backend infrastructure and AI services.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager to create scalable, efficient, and secure environments.
• Optimize cloud resources and manage configurations to support dynamic business needs, leveraging platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Maintain and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across backend and DevOps processes.
• Drive automation and process improvements to boost productivity and reduce manual tasks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and deployment processes, tools, and best practices.

About the Team

The Generative AI CoE is an internal team within Deloitte Technology Canada. GenAI CoE focuses on delivering end-to-end solutions that leverage Generative AI technology, including custom-built and commercially available products.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

·Proven experience in backend development (Python, Java, Node.js) for AI applications.

·Strong proficiency with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing).

·Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

·Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

·Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

·Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (Azure, AWS).

·Infrastructure as code expertise (Terraform, Azure Resource Manager).

·Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.

·Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
