MLOps / AI Engineer - £80,000-£90,000 - Mainly Remote (3 days a month onsite)


A leading insurance firm is seeking an experienced ML Ops Engineer to join its growing data and analytics function. This role will focus on building, deploying, and maintaining scalable machine learning platforms and pipelines within a cloud-based environment, supporting data-driven decision-making across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ML Ops pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining
  • Deploy and manage machine learning models in Azure-based cloud environments
  • Work closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to productionise models
  • Leverage Snowflake as a core data platform for feature stores, analytics, and model inputs
  • Develop and maintain robust, reusable code using Python
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for model performance, data drift, and system health
  • Ensure best practices around security, governance, scalability, and cost optimisation
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes for machine learning workflows


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an ML Ops Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong Python development skills for ML pipelines and automation
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g. Azure ML, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Services)
  • Experience working with Snowflake in a production environment
  • Understanding of the full ML lifecycle, from experimentation to production
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code concepts
