Azure Support Engineer (Entry Level)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Azure Support Engineer (Entry Level) to support cloud infrastructure and services hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for candidates who have foundational Azure knowledge and are eager to build hands-on experience in cloud support and operations.

You will work closely with senior engineers to monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain secure and reliable cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for Azure-based infrastructure and services
• Monitor Azure resources and assist in resolving performance or availability issues
• Support virtual machines, storage, networking, and basic Azure services
• Assist with user access, role assignments, and identity management
• Respond to incidents and service requests through ticketing systems
• Escalate complex issues to senior cloud or infrastructure teams
• Follow cloud security best practices and operational procedures
• Maintain documentation for support processes and resolutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services and cloud concepts
• Familiarity with Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking basics
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows and/or Linux fundamentals)
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, VPN)
• Willingness to learn cloud operations, monitoring, and security practices
• Good troubleshooting, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work well in a team-based support environment

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Microsoft Azure fundamentals or associate-level certification (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104 – training or in progress)
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 or Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management tools
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Bash)
• Internship, lab work, or project experience in cloud environments
