Job Overview
The Lead Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Atorus and/or sponsor Computing Environments and Networks. These responsibilities are done in accordance with Atorus and/or sponsor standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH Guidelines and sponsor requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive new project discussions from a technical perspective, understanding customer needs, and creating winning proposals
- Lead project engagements for top account(s), building strong customer relationships and serving as the primary point of contact for all strategic and tactical inquiries.
- Design and implement policies, controls, and templates for cloud resources deployed or managed by Atorus.
- Consult stakeholders in the design of cloud infrastructure regarding scalability, reliability, authentication, authorization, monitoring, and security.
- Provisioning and configuration of Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, and other necessary cloud resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Atorus and client systems/networks.
- Design, deploy, and configure computing environments to fit client needs and Atorus needs.
- Manage cloud applications and ensure proper authentication and authorization procedures for systems.
- Administer cloud-based services used by Atorus
- Design CI/CD pipelines for Atorus and client projects to ensure efficient testing, building, and deployment of software and applications.
- Manage Cloud based user and service accounts in Active Directory or similar systems including troubleshooting authentication and authorization, creating/editing accounts where needed, and ensuring secure and proper access to accounts.
- Evaluate and document existing systems to provide insights on performance and their fit for purpose.
- Develop templates for system deployment to improve deployment quality and generalize design patterns.
- Managing, and leading other system designers to deploy, qualify, and maintain systems.
- Act as project lead, overseeing team members and providing updates to Analytics Engineering leadership as necessary.
- Lead multiple project teams to ensure successful project delivery
- May have direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific and/or technical field (engineering, statistics, mathematics, data science) required).
- 5+ years of cloud/data engineer or cloud/data architect related work experience
- 2 years (s) working knowledge of R and Python programming languages
- Hands-on experience managing and configuring networks and Linux systems
- Experience configuring data science platforms and statistical computing environments (i.e. Posit, Domino, Sycamore)
- Customer facing lead architect/consultant role
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred, not required)
- Data Sciences platform experience
