DevOps Engineer

Role: Sr DevOPs Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Type: Fulltime

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for PlainID platform components and policy bundles

Deploy, configure, and manage PlainID services (PDP, PAP, PIP, Decision APIs) across multiple environments

Support policy lifecycle management including versioning, validation, promotion, and rollback

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools

Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of authorization services

Integrate PlainID with IAM systems (Okta, Azure AD, LDAP) and application platforms

Implement security best practices for secrets management, access control, and policy enforcement

Monitor system health, logs, and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues

Collaborate with security architects, application teams, and SREs to align authorization strategy

Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer supporting enterprise platforms

Hands-on experience with PlainID Authorization Platform (policy deployment, PDP/PAP configuration, policy bundles)

Strong understanding of policy-based access control (PBAC), ABAC, and RBAC models

Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)

Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK)

Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar)

Understanding of security, compliance, and zero-trust principles
