Cloud Architect

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with its Vancouver-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work Hybrid 3xdays on-site at the customer headquarters in Vancouver, ON.

Key Tasks

• Lead the architectural design and hands-on implementation of our platform migration from Salesforce and other legacy systems to modern cloud-native infrastructure.
• Design and build cloud-native services, writing production code in TypeScript/Node.js and other languages as required.
• Build and ship product features, internal tools, and platform capabilities alongside the engineering team.
• Define and implement cloud architecture patterns and best practices for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Design and develop REST and GraphQL APIs powering internal and customer-facing applications.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and technical guidance, fostering team growth.
• Evaluate and select cloud services and technologies, prototyping solutions to validate architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development velocity and pioneer AI-augmented engineering practices.

Key Qualifications

• Proven ability to architect and deliver enterprise-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, including complex platform migrations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies and development, shipping production-quality code while guiding team decisions.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the maturity to operate independently at a senior level while driving delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a track record of shipping production code.
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP): GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, BigQuery.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Hands-on experience migrating legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native design patterns: microservices, event-driven architecture, containerization, serverless.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in API design and implementation (REST, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with Firebase ecosystem: Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions.
• Passion for AI-assisted development and experience leveraging AI tools in engineering workflows.

Assets

• Experience with AWS or Azure in addition to GCP.
• Direct experience migrating from Salesforce or other PaaS/low-code platforms.
• Knowledge of Vertex AI or other Google AI services, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or similar AI integration patterns.
• Industry experience in dealership management, automotive, or powersports.
• Familiarity with multi-org Salesforce environments.
