DevOps Engineer

Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)

Security Clearance: Secret (or eligibility to obtain).

Salary range: $90,000 -120,000 annually, plus benefits.

Role:

As part of our Cloud Ops team, you’ll help redefine managed services for government by applying modern software development practices to infrastructure. We’re building secure, scalable environments in Azure using infrastructure-as-code and deploying production applications with speed and reliability. You’ll join a small, motivated team that values trust over process and impact over metrics.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform (or OpenTofu) and Ansible
• Manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources (VMs, scale sets, SQL databases, storage accounts)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps workflows
• Develop and optimize reusable infrastructure modules
• Monitor systems and participate in the team’s on-call rotation
• Support secure, scalable application deployments in Azure

Experience or a strong desire to learn the following:

• Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible)
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred; GCP or AWS also valuable)
• CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Linux/macOS environments
• Containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• A practical mindset toward automation - automate what makes sense, and do it well
