Senior DevOps Engineer

Pay: $100,000 - $140,000 base salary

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure management
  • Strong expertise in Azure DevOps Pipelines and Azure Bicep for automation
  • Proficiency in version control with Git and GitHub
  • Ability to assess and improve security and risk posture within Azure environments
  • Experience deploying and managing applications in Azure, including CI/CD workflows
  • Skills in scripting and automation, e.g., PowerShell or Bash
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Provision, configure, and optimize Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networking
  • Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Azure Bicep for repeatable deployments
  • Manage Azure subscriptions, ensuring proper access control, cost management, and governance
  • Monitor application performance and system health, addressing issues proactively
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and releases in Azure
  • Conduct security and risk assessments of Azure environments to ensure compliance
  • Potentially re-architect Azure resources to support growth and efficiency
  • Support and enhance global governance and architecture standards for Azure cloud deployment
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud practices and advise on best practices for security, compliance, and scalability
