Senior AWS / Azure Data Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time (W2 Only)

Location: Multiple locations over USA.

Job Summary

We are hiring a Senior AWS & Azure Data Engineer with 10+ years of overall experience, including substantial experience gained with top-tier MNCs in India, to join a high-impact enterprise data engineering team. This is a direct full-time (W2) position only for professionals seeking long-term roles in a stable, product-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS and Azure platforms
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT frameworks for large-scale structured and unstructured data
  • Develop batch and real-time data processing solutions using Spark, Databricks, and distributed systems
  • Implement data ingestion from multiple sources including APIs, RDBMS, NoSQL, streaming platforms, and cloud storage
  • Optimize data models for analytics, reporting, and downstream ML workloads
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across platforms
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, BI teams, and business stakeholders
  • Perform performance tuning, cost optimization, and capacity planning in cloud environments
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments


Required Technical Skills

Cloud Platforms

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (S3, EC2, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, Kinesis, IAM)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure (ADF, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, Event Hubs, Functions)

Data Engineering

  • Advanced SQL and data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas)
  • Apache Spark / PySpark, Databricks (AWS & Azure)
  • ETL/ELT tools: AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, custom frameworks
  • Streaming technologies: Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs
  • Data Warehousing: Redshift, Snowflake, Synapse

Programming & Tools

  • Python (mandatory), Shell scripting
  • CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform / ARM / CloudFormation
  • Monitoring & logging tools


Experience & Background

  • 10+ years of total IT experience
  • Significant experience working with top-level MNCs in India (mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-scale data platforms and best practices
  • Experience working in global delivery models and client-facing environments
